AlleyCon - November 2025

After our project with Anime Soul, Discord’s largest anime community with over 760,000 members, came to a close, the Arts & Commissions community reached out to collaborate on something new.

What we created was AlleyCon — a virtual artist alley featuring one of Discord’s largest commission artist communities.

What we didn’t expect was finding the perfect group of users.

We realized we had found our people. Highly motivated, incredibly talented creators who instinctively understood how to build immersive, expressive spaces. Within weeks, artists were creating environments that went far beyond what we imagined — fully realized spaces filled with personality, style, and of course, beautiful art.

When everything came together, the experience was magic.

You could wander from booth to booth, each with its own identity, expressed through their art, the booth’s theme, and music. Every space told a story, and you could feel the enthusiasm of the community in every corner. For the first time, the community didn’t need guidance — they built it themselves.

We also featured Wacom as a featured sponsor, showcasing a large-scale gallery tied to one of the server’s most popular art competitions. Across the world, we integrated sponsor placements — from rooftop billboards to environmental ads — creating a natural, immersive way to collaborate with partners and advertisers.

To round out the experience, we added interactive elements like a jumping game and an avatar contest, giving attendees more ways to engage beyond just browsing the galleries.

More importantly, this event helped us solidify what artists actually need to build their own spaces. The tools became smoother, the experience more intuitive, and the community began pushing the platform in ways we hadn’t anticipated — from spontaneous avatar pyramids to VTubers traveling room to room, live-commenting on every booth.

With AlleyCon, we proved that virtual artist alleys aren’t just possible — they can be vibrant, scalable, and deeply engaging.

If you’re interested in hosting your own virtual event, we’d love to connect.
